Since 2020 during Covid lockdown and since, I have had the pleasure of participating in some musical projects. Below are some recordings from various projects.
Just Crazy Enough Project – March 2020
The following songs were recorded live at Beach United Church in Toronto. The recordings were used in a video about mental health created by Karen Dale. Thanks to John Doyle (vocals and lead guitars) and Ed Romaniuk (vocals, guitar, percussion) for everything they did on these songs. I played bass and piano for these songs. Thanks to John Doyle for recording and all the effort to mix and produce these recordings.
People are Strange (The Doors)
Paint It Black (Rolling Stones)
Unwell (Matchbox Twenty)
Lean On Me (Bill Withers)
Bruce Cockburn Project – April 2021
This was another project in which we recorded music for Karen Dale, in this case for a video about Bruce Cockburn. This was a huge effort, especially for John Doyle, as this was recorded remotely by each of us, and John collected and put together the final products, in addition to learning to play some pretty tricky Bruce Cockburn guitar parts! Thanks to John (vocals, lead guitars), Ed Romaniuk (vocals, guitars), Andrew Harrison (drums). I play bass and keyboards.

Gordon Lightfoot Project – June 2023
This is a recent initiative. Ed acquired studio time as a result of attending a school fundraiser. He invited me to accompany him to record a couple of Gordon Lightfoot songs. Ed sings and plays 12 sting acoustic, and I play bass. Recorded at Earth Road Music, Etobicoke, ON.

Ilaria’s Song – April 2024
Victoria Macri, one of Toronto Harbour’s vocalists and long time friend asked me to work with her to record an original song she wrote for her granddaughter Ilaria. Victoria provided me with a rough recording. Using that as a guide, I recorded some rhythm tracks (bass, 12 and 6 string guitars), then Victoria came and added herself (vocal and acoustic picking guitar). It is a beautiful song from the heart.

Parkinson’s Project – April 2025
Brian Hawryluk, keyboardist for Toronto Harbour and also Blackboard Blues Band was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2010. Since then Brian has dealt with this and despite the challenges it brings, Brian continues to play. This past winter he approached me about recording a song he wrote that describes some of the challenges Parkinson’s disease has had on him. The song is called “With Parkinson’s (That’s the Way It Goes)“.
We recorded it along with help from other musician friends and my son Mason produced, mixed and mastered the song in Perpignan, France for Brian. I encourage you to not only listen, but also purchase your copy of Brian’s song. Thanks to David O’Hearn (guitars), Ed Romaniuk (backing vocals, acoustic guitar), Mary E. Libby and Julia Bowser (backing vocals), Mason Cooke (virtual drums), and to Brian (lead vocals, keyboards). I play bass guitar and rhythm guitars.
